Gray Baynes + Shew is delighted to have been appointed by Babcock Land Ltd, a sub-contractor to Holdfast Training Services, for the refurbishment of the Royal Engineers Museum at Brompton Barracks in Gillingham, Kent. The building was originally constructed in 1905 and is Listed Grade II. It is one of only three military or regimental museums in the country to hold ‘Designated’ status. The others are the Tank Museum and specific collections held by the Royal Artillery Museum. Gray Baynes + Shew’s team includes Hamson JPA (building services design) and Aksward Oxford (structural engineering).
