As framework architects to the Oxford University Hospital Foundation NHS trust, Gray Baynes + Shew were engaged to expand and refigure the day surgery unit to cope with higher patient numbers generated by the new cancer centre development.

The scheme provided a new reception area off the main corridor, private consulting rooms and a single-sex ward. New windows and roof lights have transformed the reception area into a far more welcoming space, calm and light where visitors can wait in comfort until their consultant is ready.
